9. In most applications, you should not change the “IP address” from the default

(192.168.2.1). However, if you are installing your CheetahAccess Wireless

Gateway within an existing network, you may need to change it to match your

current addressing scheme.

By using the CheetahAccess Wireless Gateway’s built-in DHCP (Dynamic Host

Configuration Protocol) server you are allowing the CheetahAccess Wireless

Gateway to handle all the IP addressing on your Local Area Network (LAN). This

can save you much of the time and hassle of setting up your network. If you have a

server on your network that requires a static IP address, you may still use the DHCP

server and manually assign a static IP address to your server. We recommend

leaving the DHCP Server “Enabled.”
